What are CS2 chat logs?
CS2 chat logs are the text messages players type during a Counter-Strike 2 match — all-chat and team-chat. Counter-Strike does not keep a readable history for you once you leave the server, so the only way to recover the text afterwards is to read it out of the match demo. That is what this page does.
How do I find someone’s CS2 chat logs?
Paste their Steam ID, Steam profile URL or vanity name into the search box above. If we have parsed any of their matches, their messages appear grouped by match, newest first. You can switch between reading only their lines and reading the whole conversation around them.
Can I see my own CS2 chat history?
Yes — search your own Steam ID or profile URL. This is the usual way to recover something you said or were sent in a match: a name you wanted to remember, a trade offer, or the exact wording of abuse you intend to report.
Why are there no chat logs for this player?
Usually one of three reasons. We have not parsed any of their matches yet, which is common for a profile nobody has looked up before. They played but never typed. Or the chat happened over voice, which is not captured. The page tells you which of these applies rather than showing a blank result.
Does this include voice chat?
No. Only typed text chat is recorded in a match demo. Voice communication is not stored and cannot be recovered from a demo, so nothing spoken over a microphone appears here.
How far back do CS2 chat logs go?
As far back as the matches we hold demos for. Valve only serves recent match demos, so coverage is strongest for the last few weeks of play and thins out further back. A player who has been looked up before will usually have more history than one being searched for the first time.
Is searching chat logs free?
Yes. Chat log search is free and does not require an account or a Steam login. Signing in with Steam links your own matches so your history fills in faster, but it is not needed to search.
How do I remove my chat logs from CS2Tracker?
Sign in with Steam, open Settings and use Hide my profile. That takes your profile off the site for everyone, including this page — your messages stop being searchable here immediately, and messages other people sent in your matches stop being shown against you.
