This Privacy Policy explains what personal data CS2Tracker ("CS2Tracker", "we", "us") collects, how we use and share it, and the rights you have when you use cs2tracker.gg and its related features (the "Service").
CS2Tracker is operated by 9575-9643 QUEBEC INC., 1, RUE LAPRAIRIE, LAC BROME (QUEBEC) J0E 1V0, CANADA.
cs2tracker.gg, a statistics and tools website for Counter-Strike 2 players, is operated by 9575-9643 QUEBEC INC., 1, RUE LAPRAIRIE, LAC BROME (QUEBEC) J0E 1V0, CANADA. For the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), 9575-9643 QUEBEC INC. is the controller of the personal data processed through the Service.
You can contact us about any privacy matter at [email protected].
Person in charge of the protection of personal information (Quebec Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector): the President of , . Write to [email protected] with "Privacy" in the subject line.
Account data: when you sign in with Steam, we receive and store your SteamID64 and basic public Steam profile details (such as persona name, avatar and, if public, country). Sign-in happens through Valve's Steam OpenID service — we never see your Steam password.
Email address: we collect your email address only when you provide it, for example to verify a giveaway entry, when you contact support (including via the support chat), or when you enter it during checkout for billing and receipts.
Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe. Where Stripe is not available in your region, a regional payment processor named at checkout may be offered instead. We never receive or store your full card number or card security code. We receive limited billing information such as your subscription status, the plan and amount, and your billing country.
Technical data: we automatically collect IP address, browser/user-agent, timestamps and the pages you request. We use this for security, debugging, rate limiting and abuse prevention, to estimate your approximate region (for example to offer suitable payment methods, currency and offers), and, in hashed form, to keep your experience — such as the offers and prices you are shown — consistent between visits.
The Service displays game statistics (for example Premier rating, match performance, playtime and FACEIT stats) retrieved from publicly available sources such as the Steam Web API and the FACEIT API. This can include statistics of players who have never signed in to CS2Tracker. We process this data because it is necessary to provide the game-statistics tools the Service exists for; the sources are public, and you can have your profile hidden, or your data deleted, as described below.
You can limit what is publicly available by setting your Steam profile (or parts of it) to private. To have your profile taken off CS2Tracker immediately, sign in with Steam and use "Hide my profile" in Settings. Signing in is how we establish that the Steam ID is yours. Hiding stops your profile from being shown; to have the data itself removed, use "Delete my account and data" in Settings, described under "Your rights".
We cannot act on an emailed request that simply names a Steam ID. We have no way to tell that the sender owns that account, and acting on it anyway would let anyone take another player’s profile off the site. If you cannot sign in to the account, write to [email protected] and we will tell you what else we can accept as proof of ownership.
Clips of flagged plays may be shown on the site and, occasionally, published on our own social media channels. A clip shows game footage and the in-game names of the players involved; we do not link it to anyone's real identity. If you appear in a clip and want it unlinked from you or taken down, use the deletion process under "Your rights" or write to [email protected].
To provide and operate the Service: authenticate you via Steam, keep you signed in, show your stats, provide Premium features, run giveaways you enter, and respond to support requests. This is necessary to provide the Service you asked for.
To process payments, prevent fraud and abuse, secure the Service, enforce our Terms of Service and comply with legal obligations. This is necessary to run the Service safely and to meet the obligations the law places on us.
To measure and improve the Service and understand how features and offers perform, using aggregate analytics that do not identify you, and to show our own promotions for partner sites.
Card and wallet payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your payment details are transmitted directly to Stripe and are handled under Stripe's own privacy policy (https://stripe.com/privacy). Stripe also acts on our behalf to detect and prevent payment fraud.
Where Stripe is not available in your region, we may offer a regional payment processor, named at checkout, whose own privacy policy applies to the payment itself. We receive only confirmation of the payment and what is needed to activate your purchase.
Essential cookies: we use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (a signed session cookie), to remember an in-progress checkout, and for security. These are required for the Service to work and cannot be switched off.
Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the site. It runs in a mode where no analytics or advertising cookie is set and no identifier is stored on your device, because we never ask for the consent that would allow it. It measures visits without identifying you.
We use no cookies for advertising. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; signing out clears your session.
We do not run third-party advertising networks on cs2tracker.gg, and no advertising partner sets cookies or identifiers through the site.
Some promotions for partner sites are served directly by us. For these we count impressions and clicks only in aggregate form and do not build personal advertising profiles. These promotions carry a fixed referral code, never anything that identifies you. Some pages also embed a Skinflow widget served from skinflow.gg; inside that widget, Skinflow's own privacy policy applies.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
The optional desktop app can, only when you turn on AFK earning and accept the notice shown there, use your internet connection to fetch public Steam Community pages (such as inventories) for CS2Tracker. To credit tickets and detect abuse we record when the relay is on, the jobs it completed, and the IP address our servers see. We do not read the content of other pages you browse, and turning AFK earning off stops the relay.
We share personal data with service providers who process it on our behalf and only as necessary to run the Service: Stripe (payments) and any regional payment processor named at checkout; Valve/Steam (sign-in via Steam OpenID); Google (aggregate analytics, without identifying cookies); Cloudflare (site delivery and storage of clips); RunPod (rendering of clips); our email delivery provider (Resend or SendGrid); Discord (operational notifications to our own team channels, which may include a Steam name); and our hosting providers. These providers are bound by data-processing agreements where required.
We may also disclose data where required by law, to protect our rights, users or the public, or as part of a business transfer. We never sell personal data.
Our servers and most of our service providers are located outside Quebec and outside Canada, mainly in the United States and the European Union, so your personal data is communicated outside Quebec. Before doing so we assess the protection those providers give, as the Quebec Act requires, and we rely on contractual safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and adequacy decisions where we transfer data out of the EEA or UK.
We keep account data for as long as you have an account with us. When you delete your account, or ask us to, we delete or anonymise it as described under "Your rights". Technical logs are kept for a limited period needed for security and debugging. Giveaway entry data is kept for the duration of the giveaway and as needed to deliver prizes and prevent abuse. Caches of game data expire on their own within days.
Billing records are kept for as long as required by tax, accounting and anti-fraud laws, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Wherever you live, and in particular in Quebec and the rest of Canada, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it rectified, to have it deleted, to receive a copy of it in a structured and commonly used format, to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting prior processing, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority; in Quebec this is the Commission d'accès à l'information.
Deleting your data: sign in with Steam and use "Delete my account and data" in Settings. The deletion runs seven days after you request it; your profile is hidden immediately, and you can cancel the request by signing in again during those seven days. The deletion removes your account, game saves, giveaway entries, clips, chat logs, match data and caches from our systems, cancels any subscription, deletes your customer record at our payment provider, and places a keyed hash of your Steam ID on a do-not-collect list so that nothing about you is rebuilt from later matches unless you sign in again. Posts and comments you published stay under "Deleted user". Records we must keep by law, such as invoices and payment records, are kept for the period tax, accounting and anti-fraud laws require, anonymised so they are no longer linked to you.
If you cannot sign in, or if you appear in chat logs or clips without ever having used CS2Tracker, email [email protected]. We will ask you to show that you control the Steam account, usually by placing a short code we give you in your Steam profile summary, and then run the same deletion. For every other right, email us from the relevant address and include your SteamID64 where applicable. We answer requests within 30 days. California residents: we do not sell personal information and do not share it for targeted advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. In Quebec, personal data of a minor under 14 may be collected only with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and for material changes we will provide more prominent notice on the site.
For any questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us at [email protected].
